HELLYEAH Teams Up with David Brodsky For ‘High-Concept Video’ at LOYAL STUDIOS

Saturday, May 5th, 2012

Burbank, CA (PRWEB) April 20, 2012

HELLYEAH’s video for the song “Drink, Drank, Drunk” was filmed on March 26. The clip was directed by David Brodsky of MyGoodEye at LOYAL STUDIOS, who has previously worked with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, GOATWHORE, MUNICIPAL WASTE and SUFFOCATION, among many others.

Loyal Studios in Burbank has become a favorite for artists looking to produce high-definition greenscreen music videos. The two stages in Burbank and Santa Monica have a history of hosting great talents from Snoop Dogg, to Jason Bonham, to Ray J and Bret Michaels, as well as producing videos for Nicole Sherzinger, LMFAO, ODD FUTURE and NEVERSHOUTNEVER.

“HELLYEAH rocked our studios hard,” says producer and CEO of Loyal Studios, Bob Bekian. “With our 2000-watt amplified playback system, the parking lot was literally shaking! David Brodsky and his crew shot this project with a series of cameras including the Canon 5D and 7D models with Zeiss prime lenses.

MyGoodEye chose Loyal due to their friendly crews and technical support as well as a place where artists feel comfortable and free to express themselves. The new addition of a complete post-production and editing studio inside the shooting location combined with their 75 HD camera systems has put Loyal Studios into a unique position to be able to offer a one-stop shop for producers.

“Band Of Brothers” is the title track of HELLYEAH’s new album, which will be released on July 17 via HELLYEAH’s new label home, Eleven Seven Music. The CD was recorded in Dallas, Texas at Vinnie Paul’s home studio, VP’s Upstairs Studio, and was produced by the band and Jeremy Parker (GODSMACK, EVANESCENCE), who also served as engineer.

In a recent interview with Loudwire, Vinnie stated about “Band Of Brothers”, “On our first two records, we were a new band. We really wanted to branch out and expand and experiment with all different styles. We all come from traditional metal bands and backgrounds, so it was a great breath of fresh air to play in a band that was rock ‘n’ roll, blues and Southern rock. We got that out of our system and got really focused on going back to our metal roots. It’s heavy, focused, groove-oriented and I’m excited about it.”

Tuesday, May 1st, 2012

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 18, 2012

Adorama Rental Companys official launch of the Digital Cinema Department took place at a recent gala at Manhattans spectacular Tribeca Skyline Studio. Top cinematographers and directors of photography were in attendance as key cameras were displayed and demonstrated in special live-action sets that included a painter, a cupcake decorator, a sushi chef, and a tattoo artist. Clusters of plasma screens throughout the space displayed the different cameras output for scores of guests to compare as they snacked on sushi and sipped on drinks from the open bar. Having hands-on time with the equipment was very informative, says Pablo Bonelli of Humungoid Films. Im now thinking of changing the camera I was planning to use for my next project. The evenings culmination was a raffle in which ARC gave away a new Canon EOS 5D Mark III HD DSLR, the new, third-generation Apple iPad, and a $ 1,000 gift certificate toward ARC rentals.

The invitation-only event was held to demonstrate Adorama Rental Companys commitment to the multimedia future of imagemaking. Canon Camera

The Canon cameras I currently own.

All things considered, the G9 is probably the most utilitarian camera in the bunch (though obviously the ability to switch lenses on the XT is unmatched by any of the PowerShot models). But ounce for ounce, I think the easiest camera to work with to get the results I typically want from causal lomography — shooting from the hip, day-to-day — is the S80, which is why I just bought a second one after having sold my first a year ago. It’s the smallest, does about 80% of what the G9 does, has nearly all its settings and controls accessible by the right thumb. The big strike against the S80? Out of the five you see here, it’s the only one that doesn’t shoot RAW (boo to Canon!). But it’s probably the one I’m going to end up using the most again.

Note to Canon: when are you getting to get off your asses and give us an S90? >:/

10Rate announces its Top 10 Point and Shoot Digital Cameras for 2012 | Coolpix and Cybershot Win Best Quality and Best Value Awards

Friday, April 6th, 2012

Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) March 28, 2012

10Rate reviewers and staff selected 10 of the best point and shoot digital cameras for 2012, assigning each a numerical rating as well as awarding three models that stood out for quality, value, and budget. Testing and consideration for this Digital Point and Shoot Cameras Top 10 list were given based on portability, technological ability, and the following set of eight criteria:

1. The size and type of sensor

2. The size and resolution of LCD viewing screens

3. Optical and digital zooms

4. Amount of auto focus and scene selection modes

5. Image stabilization and Intelligent digital zoom features

6. Number of shots per battery charge

7. Video and sound recording capabilities

8. Extra features like WiFi uploading, USB battery charging, and GPS tracking

The annual Best Point and Shoot Digital Camera 2012 awards list was headed by a Coolpix camera, the P310, winning the Best Quality spot and a near perfect 9.5 out of 10 rating. The review noted several strengths of the digital point and shoot camera as follows: The cameras retro design is simple, sleek, and attractive. Dont be fooled though, Nikon made sure the camera is anything but retro, its all function here. The f/1.8 wide angle zoom lens on this camera provides enough flexibility to capture moments inside or outside, dark or bright. The 19 different scene modes are more than enough to assist photographers in new situations. The review also mentioned that the Coolpix P310 is available as of the end of March.

10rate’s editors also gave the Best Value Point and Shoot Digital Camera award to the Cybershot DSC-WX150 in the third place spot. With a rating of 8.5 out of 10, the review boasted that it is loaded with features every photographer will find extremely helpful in creating powerful images. Features include the 18.2 megapixel sensor, high speed auto focus performance most light situations (including low light), image stabilization, 10x optical zoom, manual exposure mode, 9 Picture Effect settings, and 5cm macro focus, full HD video recording with stereo sound, and HDMI output. According to 10rate, this camera hits the shelves in May.

Additionally, the Best Budget award from the Top 10 Best Digital Point and Shoot Cameras list went to another Cybershot, the DSC-W690, for which 10rate noted, Entry level photographers and those looking to upgrade their older point and shoot cameras will find exactly what they are looking for with this offering from Sony. The best thing about this camera is its small size. It will fit in any bag or pocket without becoming a burden, whether it be on a walk in the woods or a night out on the town. The camera offers a 16.1 megapixel sensor and a 10x optical zoom, both impressive numbers. 720p video recording is an added plus for those who like to share more than just images. This one will also be available in May.

Lumix cameras were featured for three models in 10rate’s digital point and shoot camera ratings, while Coolpix, Cybershot, and Powershot were all recognized twice. A Canon Powershot Camera earned second place in overall ranking, saying this for the ELPH 320HS available in April: Canons newest addition to the PowerShot line has a lot to offer in a small package. This camera is designed for the tech savvy photographer on the go combined with the ease of use any newcomer needs to get started. At less than 1 inch thin, there is no reason this camera will stay at home. SmartAUTO features 58 different shooting modes, making this the most impressive and versitle auto mode in this class of camera.
